My Own Father

When I had problems I was there for help,
When I got introuble I whipped out my own dayum belt,
My friends had fathers always wondered how that felt,
Kuhz when i was growing up i was a father 2 myself,

When i was six i taught myself how 2 ride a bike,
When i got sleepy i tucked myself in at night,
When i got bullied i taught myself how 2 fight,
Being a father 2 myself never knew what wasn't right,

When i got my krush i read a book on love,
Questions about ryght and wrong i looked for guidance up above,
Father-Son day at work never knew what that was,
Oh i got all A's didn't matter no father no one 2 judge,

How 2 drive a kar hmm, i styll kan't drive stikk,
Medicine and soup these things i gave myself when i was sikk,
Fish and camping never went on those trips,
People say i have a smart mouth, i taught myself how 2 talk shyt,

Sand pits playgrounds i pushed myself on the swings,
Basketball footballi taught myself how 2 play these things,
Just wanted someone 2 look up 2 i guess those were big dreams,
I'm alive and brilliant i guess he did give me good genes,

Teach me about respect and how 2 treat a women don't bother,
Raised myself all alone and my lil brother,
Nope never had a son, never had a daughter,
But you know what for the past 21 years I have been my own FATHER!!

Kant shine on them and our faces,
Well we ignorant people in smart places,
Chancellor doesn't realize that its more than one race its races,
I got a question is it styll racism??
White overseers are klueless,
2 the movement, powering blacks 2 move us,
Well the truth is, life is ruthless,
2 walk around blind 2 us is foolish,
Whyte owners chancellors styll ruling,
Racism at UCSD no redoing,
Now when I edukate yo mouth wide drooling,
Put in the work I know its grueling,
Afrika Running thru my blood I'm choosing,
So no more excuses,
